It all began in April of 1996. That is when I attended the first of two workshops on Manifestation. In the first workshop, we learned to identify and clear blockages that were in the way of attaining our goals. I never did such hard work in my life – all in four hours! It felt like wading through molasses. I did not want to look at all that stuff…Hey! This was supposed to be about manifesting…not clearing! I learned that clearing is essential. Otherwise, the energies I communicate to the universe don’t have a clear path. Kind of like having piles of magazines in the hallway….just a mess for walking through.

Between the time I took the first workshop and the second one, I began to see a chiropractor that worked from a body/mind perspective. "I think with you, we will start with Receiving", he said. I learned that the left side is the receiving side of the body. No wonder my left shoulder always hurt…it was constricted by my fear of receiving! I began to learn that I am in control when I receive as well as when I give, and my left shoulder started to relax. I began to have experiences where my body started letting go of memories when I received something I didn’t want or like (as in a whack from my father) and didn’t realize I had a choice about it. Hey, it was the ‘60’s, and I was a little kid. No wonder I had all those fantasies about running away. So, as my body began to let go of these memories, the tension that had been in my left shoulder started to let go – I was opening to receive more. That’s when the chiropractor gave me the $100 bill trick to play with.

Then I took the second seminar on manifestation. We made a pie graph of all the areas of our lives, and drew art about each one. Then we chose one area for goal setting. I chose financial. We were to write a dollar amount we "had" in our bank account. It needed to be a stretch, but reasonably attainable. The most I had ever had in my bank account was $2,200.00 I listened inside, and decided on $11,000. The teacher talked about being with the feeling of having our goal….feeling how good it would feel, and how good it would feel to move with that goal achieved….what would be going on in our lives? How would that feel? In our bodies and lives, how would that feel? She encouraged us to sit with that feeling every day for a month, in the morning, in meditation.

That weekend, I started an apprenticeship program, with the chiropractor, in the BodyWise Method. I learned how the body speaks and when I learned (at an even deeper level) how it speaks about receiving. I added that to my morning meditations.

I began to have the experience of feeling energy and joy building in my body during the meditations. I felt it as a lightness and joy in my chest and solar plexus areas. It got larger every day….I began to look forward to my meditations…which now included waiting for the feeling of joy to come ….then speaking with it, which caused it to expand in my body, then moving and speaking with it, which caused it to expand even more.

I began to wake up in the morning hardly able to wait to do the moving meditation. My days were filled with positive expectancy: "Gee, I wonder how this is going to happen?"

I could feel it buzzing in my body. I would buy lottery tickets, and enter every sweepstakes I came across. It was such a high! About three weeks into it, the joy got so huge, that it shot out through my head, arms and legs! Rather like an orgasm! Wow! The next morning I awoke, and when I went to do the meditation – there was no high. I wondered what was happening. It was like the big "ho-hum", the big yawn. I went about my day – my client load was maxxed. All I could do was eat, sleep, and work. I was dwelling in abundance, for sure. My phone was ringing off the hook with appointment requests. So, when I got a call from an agency that sounded like an accounting firm, I hit the save button and wondered, "what do they want?," and went to do the next massage client….who was already on my table.

The next day I answered the phone between appointments, and there she was again…I asked her, "Yes, what are you calling me about?" "Do you remember going into Rite Aide about two weeks ago?"

"Yes," I said.

"Do you remember filling out a form for a sweepstakes?"

"Yes…," I said.

"Well, you won!", she replied.

Now I remember filling out that form. I went in to buy epsom salts – I take at least one bath in them per week to clear my energy field. I had filled out the form for a "Summer Sizzler Sweepstakes where the prizes ranged from a plastic pail and shovel to $10,000.00. "What did I win?", I asked.

"The $10,000.00", she replied. I asked her if she could hold on a minute….my body wanted to express. She agreed. I held the phone down by my side….I started yelling, whooping, jumping up and down, and letting my body express its joy and satisfaction – verbally, physically…I just loved that moment with all I had. When I got back on the phone, I asked if she was still there.

"Yes!", she said, "That was great! That was the best reaction I have had yet! Most people just say: You’re kidding, right?" I went on to explain the process I had been working since April. This was the end of July. She had never heard anything like it. We went on with the paperwork details, and by mid-August, I had the money.

Then I needed to decide what I wanted next. You see, when she said, "The $10,000.00" I heard a voice in my head that said, "And that’s just the first installment!" So I knew I would make the money grow. I started a network marketing business with some of the money. That business grossed $14,400.00 the next year. I also did a few other key things with the money, including the purchase a beautiful pendant with the money, …as a touchstone to the experience…to remind myself that I can do this again, whenever I fully engage the process.

The book, "Excuse me, your Life is Waiting", by Lynn Grabhorn, describes the process. It was written in 2000. It was so good to read the process in print. I wonder what I will create this time? By the way, my massage practice had increased to the point of having a thousand dollars in the savings account by the time I got the check….so I had $11,000.00 in the account. HA! And the chiropractor said he was going to make me the poster child for "Receiving". Oh, Yes!
